The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide an additional $17.4 million for humanitarian aid that will be allocated for the provision of food assistance and supporting the healthcare sector.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) will receive $11.1 million. The funding will benefit 300,000 citizens by providing food parcels for two months, as part of the national social safety net programs led by the government.

The new grant also includes $6.3 million that will be provided to Relief International (RI) and International Medical Corps (IMC), to support 11 primary healthcare clinics that provided services for 96,000 patients in 2022, of whom 72 percent are citizens.
